Farm Vision

Flower of Life Farm is a five acre organic farm on the island of Kaua’i. Previously part of a pineapple plantation, it has been our dream since 2015 to restore this land back to full vitality and participate with the broader community to cultivate health and provide food security for those of us on Kaua'i as well as our friends around the globe.

The heart of the project is to create a bio-diverse rich, living ecosystem. We take our understanding of a living ecosystem from the examples of nature– an undisturbed ancient forest, for example. There are numerous systems of natural farming and all of them share the features of bio-mimicry, attempting to imitate nature. As a farm we take an eclectic approach, borrowing from Permaculture, Biodynamics, Vedic farming, Agroforestry, and others to grow organically and regeneratively.

A living ecosystem requires the harmonious integration of natural ecosystems, agriculture, and human habitation. And so the project at the farm is to live in harmony with Earth, the plants, insects, animals and other humans, and this seems to require that we bring as much consciousness as possible and the humility of knowing that we are just one small part of a very large system.
