FARM MANAGER JOB OPENING !PROFIT SHARING OPTIONS!

 Flower of Life Farm is a five acre organic farm on the island of Kaua’i. Previously part of a pineapple plantation, it has been our dream since 2015 to restore this land back to full vitality and participate with the broader community to cultivate health and provide food security for those of us on Kaua'i as well as our friends around the globe. Our founder Daniel brings his love and experience in permaculture which began in India where he ran an agriculture non-profit for 15 years with indigenous tribal Indians helping them rebuild their soil and enrich their ecosystem.

We are looking for a long term, passionate, dynamic farm manager to truly facilitate an “aloha” community spirit and grow revenue streams for our relatively new farm so we can become truly sustainable and self sufficient. Must have 3-5 years minimum previous experience in farm management.

Our short to mid term goals are to create our own processing facility and value added product line to support the health of our local community and the world.

Work exchange and payment

10 hours a week to pay for room and board.  Lovely, mold-free, private farm cabin with a kitchenette, high speed wi-fi, community showers and access to community food and kitchen.

Any hours after that will be paid @ $25 an hour. Currently averages 8-10 hours (can vary) a week of paid work.

Responsibilities (these can be delegated to worktraders as well)

MOST IMPORTANT! We need a warm and caring individual to facilitate community spirit and create a culture of love for the earth and each other.

Management of work traders including orientation, airport pickup and drop off. Harvest and maintenance of crops and nursery.  Starts and propagation.

Food delivery to happy local customers and accounts payable.

Identify new sources of revenue, brainstorm new value added products.

Coordinate cabin, loft and cottage schedule with booking manager.
